Right of Response & Victim Statements

Our belief in the right of reply stems from a fundamental commitment to fairness and journalistic integrity. Every individual or entity subjected to investigation must have a meaningful opportunity to respond to specific allegations before conclusions are published. This principle ensures balanced reporting, reduces the risk of unwarranted reputational harm, and often uncovers critical context that refines the final narrative. It is not an endorsement of any party's position, but rather a procedural safeguard against omission or error.

Simultaneously, we centre the voices of victims impacted by the matters under review. Their lived experiences, conveyed through direct comments, provide indispensable testimony that shapes accurate and compassionate coverage. Elevating these perspectives affirms their dignity and validates the real-world consequences of the events examined.

The right of reply and victim commentary are not in conflict; together, they promote accountability while respecting due process.
